Wheels in Motion at Knowledge Park Circle is a public art piece showing Rock Hill’s shift from the textile industry to new technology. Its design draws on 1900s images of fabric rolls and buggy wheels, using circular forms and a continuous loop to link past, present, and future. Colorful plant bands ring the loop, making a living sculpture that changes with the seasons and city growth. Ten large concrete discs strategically placed within the plants highlight notable aspects of Rock Hill’s culture and community.
